Sr Camera Electronic Component Engineer

As Camera Senior Development Engineer you are responsible for specifying product that aligns with our corporate needs, then work with a third party provider to design, develop and qualify the camera product for Caterpillar autonomous, automated, safety and base machine systems.

What You Will Do:

• Overseeing / executing compliance with development processes and regulations for camera components.
• Investigating and troubleshooting all technical issues related to the camera components.
• Managing and interfacing with electrical and electronic product suppliers for the development of the camera components.
• Mentoring craftsmen, technicians and engineers in the development of camera components.

• Requires a degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering curriculum., Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Electronics Engineering: Knowledge of electronics engineering; ability to read schematics, simulate circuit designs and conduct necessary electrical tests at the PCB level. Supplier Management: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice., * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to go along with degree from an accredited engineering program.

• Strong communication and organizational skills to plan, execute and communicate technical findings

• Ability to write code for test scripts and interaction with the camera for the purposes of qualification (Python, C, etc…)

• Previous experience in developing camera or light-based sensor technologies

• Previous experience with supplier interaction

• Previous experience in system integration of sensors like cameras.
