Organization / Role Description This is a Software Development Lead role leading the software development lifecycle including the coordination, prioritization and communication across the business product areas. The role includes the hands-on development role, building a client driven technology organization. The role entails full Agile and DevOps model in partnership of SAMS business-designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs. Lead application components of moderate complexity. Provide technical design input in overall project. Focus on quality based on Schwab's standards. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and implement data-driven approaches to optimize team performance., * Software Development - Implementing standards, processes, and methods to create, test, and verify software components, ensuring reliability and resolving operational problems and bugs

  • Software Release and Deployment - Managing the deployment of software updates while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and quality standards
  • System Design and Architecture - Implementing concepts for system design, ensuring compatibility with cloud architectures, and utilizing adaptive approaches for lifecycle models and methodologies
  • Results Orientation - Focusing on the desired end result of one's own or one's units work
  • Setting challenging goals, focusing effort on the goals, and meeting or exceeding them
  • Analytical Thinking - Approaching a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach
  • Application Maintenance and Support - Delivering effective management and technical services to address technical issues and minimize disruption to application users

Requirements

Required: A university degree from a well-respected academic institution; advanced degrees in Information management, Computer Science, Business Administration and/or other professional certifications are a plus

  • Required: At least 10-years of professional experience
  • Required: At least 6-years of professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Springboot, SQL Server, JSON, REST, Python
  • Required: Recent experience working in Agile teams preferably for financial institutions
  • Required: Experience with GCP/AWS
  • Requred: Atleast 6 months of Schwab technology domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee

Preferred Qualifications Experience in building services-based software for portfolio optimization using industrial optimization products like Axioma, Gurobi, etc.
