Job description
U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. The SCITLS program is a critical component of this mission, ensuring 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments., The Technical Editor/Knowledge Management Specialist with Training Expertise will play a vital role in supporting AI/ML and data-driven operations by ensuring the creation, organization, and dissemination of high-quality technical documentation. This position will also focus on developing and delivering technical training to enhance team capabilities and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching, training, or serving as a teaching assistant, particularly in technical or IT-related fields., * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, governance protocols, and best practices, ensuring clarity and accessibility for diverse audiences.
- Edit technical content for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Manage centralized knowledge repositories to streamline access to critical resources and improve knowledge sharing across teams.
- Design and deliver technical training sessions, workshops, or materials to enhance team understanding of AI/ML processes, data management, and IT best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop tailored learning solutions.
- Support the development of training materials, including presentations, guides, and e-learning modules, to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Enable clear communication and efficient knowledge sharing to enhance collaboration, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across AI/ML and data management teams.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience in teaching, training, or serving as a teaching assistant, preferably in a technical or IT-related field.

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

ITIL 4 Foundation certification within 9 months of hire; Security+ or SSCP certification within 6 months of hire., * Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, data management, and governance protocols.

Strong technical writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

Experience with knowledge management systems and tools.

Salary and Benefit Information The likely hourly rate for this position is between $24.65 - $33.35. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
