Job description
HUB International is seeking an experienced Senior Director, Governance and Compliance. The individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework and ensuring accurate and timely compliance reporting, with a specific focus on managing compliance data from third parties. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the organization's third-party data management practices, improving data quality, and providing insightful reports to support compliance decision-making and board of director reporting requirements., + Develop and execute data governance and reporting strategy that aligns with business goals and growth plans.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement efforts to meet evolving demands.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive third-party data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards for compliance data management, quality, and security.
- Establish and maintain a third-party data inventory and data lineage documentation to ensure a clear understanding of data sources, flows, and dependencies.
- Develop and implement data quality management processes for third-party data required for compliance, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
- Identify and prioritize third-party data requirements for regulatory reporting and internal compliance monitoring.
- Monitor and analyze compliance reporting metrics related to third-party data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management practices, and data security principles.
- Strong understanding of compliance regulations, reporting requirements, and performance monitoring practices
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive data governance initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake or QlikView.
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, with at least 5 of those years in a management role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and monitoring KRIs and KPIs for compliance programs., Required Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience
