Job description
We are seeking an IT Field Hardware Deployment Technician to support a large-scale desktop and hardware rollout across multiple sites throughout the Philadelphia suburbs. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience configuring, deploying, replacing, and troubleshooting end-user technology in a business environment., The technician will travel to assigned locations to assist with PC and laptop deployments, workstation setups, hardware swaps, peripheral installation, asset tracking, and related desktop project work. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, can stay organized across multiple locations, and is comfortable working directly with end users., * Travel to client sites throughout the Philadelphia suburbs to support hardware deployment and desktop project work
- Configure, stage, image, deploy, and replace PCs, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and related peripherals
- Assist with workstation setups, equipment moves, hardware refreshes, and user technology transitions
- Install and configure standard business applications, operating system settings, drivers, and device profiles
- Support data transfer, user profile setup, device cutovers, and post-deployment troubleshooting
- Document completed deployments, asset tags, serial numbers, equipment status, and site-specific notes
- Troubleshoot common desktop hardware, software, connectivity, printer, and peripheral issues during deployment activities
- Coordinate with project leads, help desk teams, and onsite contacts to complete assigned work on schedule
- Package, transport, organize, and return equipment as needed
- Provide professional, customer-focused support to users during device replacements and setup appointments
- Follow project checklists, security procedures, inventory controls, and deployment standards
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Experience with PC, laptop, desktop, or hardware deployment work
- Hands-on experience configuring Windows-based computers, peripherals, and common office technology
- Ability to install, connect, and troubleshoot monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, and other end-user equipment
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, user profiles, network connectivity, and desktop troubleshooting
- Ability to follow documented deployment procedures and accurately track equipment and asset information
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel to sites throughout the Philadelphia suburbs
- Valid driver's license and ability to transport small IT equipment as needed
- Ability to work independently in the field while staying aligned with project timelines and instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with imaging tools, Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, MDT, or similar deployment platforms
- Prior experience supporting hardware refreshes, office moves, Windows upgrades, or desktop migration projects
- Basic Active Directory experience, including login support, password resets, and user account troubleshooting
- Experience working from tickets, project checklists, or asset management systems
- CompTIA A+ or related certification is a plus, The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on IT technician who is comfortable traveling between local sites, setting up hardware, configuring laptops and PCs, and helping users through equipment transitions. This person should be organized, professional, comfortable working independently, and able to complete deployment tasks accurately in a fast-moving project environment.
