Job description

The Security Associate Consultant (C2) leads smaller projects with limited oversight and supports larger engagements as part of a team, providing hands-on technical expertise in deploying security solutions that deliver business value. This role focuses on understanding design decisions, executing implementations, and supporting clients through strong communication and technical delivery., Solution Delivery & Technical Execution

  • Associate Consultants are expected to lead smaller projects with little oversight, and assist with larger projects as part of a team.
  • Associate Consultants should understand why decisions were made in the design portion of the project and explain the impact of key decisions on the technology.
  • Associate Consultants should also understand basic licensing structures.
  • The Associate Consultant provides guidance and hands-on technical expertise in deploying solutions that unlock the value of the solution for our clients.
  • Implementation of proposed solutions based on documented designs.
  • Assists with the management and successful completion of project initiatives on-time and within budget; completing project plans and maintaining project schedules.

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Ability and willingness to understand customers' business and the value of technology on the business.
  • Comfortable in customer-facing roles and initiates communication with client project stakeholders to drive transparency.
  • Prioritize and maintain commitments and delivery dates for multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
  • As the client's trusted adviser, provides guidance and recommendations with the best interests of client in mind.
  • As the client's trusted advisor, identify and facilitate additional opportunities.
  • Transfer knowledge to customers as part of the delivery of services.
  • Aware of customer desired business outcomes from engagements.
  • Identifies potential new business opportunities with existing clients; shares ideas with Senior and Principal team members.

Project & Team Support

  • Assist with project scoping and design as part of a larger team.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent (3 years) work experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of and working experience with Microsoft Defender solutions, prioritized as follows:
  • Defender for Endpoint
  • Defender for Cloud Apps
  • Sentinel
  • Defender for Office

Skills & Abilities

  • Utilize troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently/self-reliant and show initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply to appropriate business situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict time deadlines.

  • Proficient knowledge of and working experience with Microsoft and 3rd party solutions, as relates to integration with the Defender Suite and Sentinel., * MS-500 - Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
  • AZ-500 - Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • SC-100 - Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
  • SC-200 - Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
  • SC-300 - Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate

Other Ancillary Technologies & Certifications

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with equivalent 3rd party security solutions.
  • 3rd party solution certifications.
