Job description

Our Delivery teams help organizations of all kinds redefine what's possible, give shape to the future-and get there. We focus on high-impact projects, meeting our clients where they are to uncover business needs and deliver results. Our teams go beyond the expected to help clients move confidently through ambiguity and risk and drive more transformative outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate business problems to clearly define objectives, success measures, potential solutions, and expected benefits
  • Translate business needs into well-defined product concepts, features, and releases, with a strong focus on AI, machine learning, and data visualization for business improvement
  • Break down complex solutions into prioritized features and capabilities that align to business value and delivery readiness
  • Own product and POD-level roadmaps, balancing execution needs with long-term product and portfolio strategy
  • Prioritize solutions and features within releases, making clear trade-offs across scope, timing, and value
  • Group and frame related solutions into transformational business concepts rather than isolated point solutions
  • Partner closely with developers, data scientists, and engineers to ask informed questions, challenge assumptions, and validate solution approaches
  • Translate technical constraints, dependencies, and risks into clear, business-understandable impacts and options
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, driving alignment and accountability toward shared outcomes
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across discovery, requirements definition, testing, and organizational change management (OCM) activities
  • Communicate effectively with program leaders and executives by:
  • Clearly surfacing risks, issues, and blockers
  • Converting detailed plans and roadmaps into executive-ready summaries and narratives
  • Engage senior business and IT leaders to align priorities, secure decisions, and maintain trust and transparency

Requirements

  • Strong product management and/or product ownership experience in complex enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated ability to define and manage product portfolios and roadmaps
  • Proven capability to evaluate business problems and shape value-driven, outcome-focused solutions
  • Experience balancing near-term delivery execution with long-term product and program strategy
  • Strategic mindset with strong decision-making and prioritization skills
  • Ability to understand technical solutions well enough to challenge teams constructively without being a hands-on developer
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Comfort operating across multiple altitudes - from delivery detail to executive discussions
  • Utilities experience is highly preferred

Benefits & conditions

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. As a result, Slalom is proud to invest in benefits that include meaningful time off and paid holidays, 401(k) with a match, a range of choices for highly subsidized health, dental, & vision coverage, adoption and fertility assistance, and long-term disability. We also offer yearly $350 reimbursement account for any well-being-related expenses, as well as discounted home, auto, and pet insurance.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, the targeted hourly pay range is $60/hr-$70hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
