IT Manager, Platform Engineering

The IT Manager, Platform Engineering role leads a team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of resilient enterprise solutions. This posting will be used to fill multiple manager roles that engineer SaaS platforms for Sales/Marketing or IBM Sterling B2B/EDI integration. These positions collaborate closely with product, architecture, and business partners to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Manage team performance, providing coaching and career development opportunities to grow engineering talent.
• Champion an environment of collaboration, high quality IT practices and continuous improvement.

Technical Strategy & Execution

• Guide the team in the end-to-end delivery of software, from architectural design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure the team's work aligns with the strategic product roadmap and enterprise architecture standards.
• Drive the implementation of resilient and scalable engineering solutions,

Innovation & Critical Thinking

• Lead the exploration and adoption of new technologies, including AI, to drive efficiency and deliver business value.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate complex business problems into clear, actionable engineering plans.
• Promote critical thinking and a first-principles approach to problem-solving within the team.

• Platform Experience: Background in enterprise software development. Specific experience in one of the following is highly desired:
• SaaS platforms and Cloud Engineering (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe, GCP, Azure)
• B2B integration platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, MuleSoft) and EDI standards.
• Emerging Technology: Knowledgeable in the application of AI and other new technologies in an enterprise context., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated progression of responsibility.
• 2+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership role (e.g., Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Engineering Manager).
• Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality software projects.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
