Job description

The IT Application Developer evaluates and modifies systems solutions for business needs. He/she performs testing, debugging and documentation. This position detects, diagnoses, and reports related issues to more senior level developers.

Principal Accountabilities Performs Application Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and modifies application program

  • Encode, test debug and document program

  • Collaborates with team members and business clients to propose solutions and resolve day to day issues

  • Participates or conducts testing to include unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, system testing or user acceptance testing as required

  • Acquires and demonstrates a working knowledge of key business systems

  • Resolves technology risks

Performs Design and Architecture Functions

  • Consults with application support or infrastructure development projects to keep systems in synch with the enterprise architecture, and identifies when necessary to modify software architecture

  • Analyzes enterprise business trends and strategies, and change requirements to identify correct requirements

  • Participates and contributes to design sessions, root cause analysis, and production control works on moderately complex testing and integration projects

  • Review and provide feedback on functional and detailed specifications

Performs Program and Development Responsibilitiess

  • Learn new programming and development skills

  • Writes code, analyze data and data flow to contribute to software design and implementation

Requirements

  • Undergraduate in computer science or related technical field
  • Knowledge and experience in web service design and implementation
  • Knowledge and experience using Git (or similar) as a source control
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze relevant and apply individual judgment
  • Experience working cross functionally in teams using Waterfall and Agile development process and methodologies.
  • Advanced interpersonal relationship skills at a variety of levels and greatly differing social and business settings
  • Self-motivated, quick learner who can manage multiple projects with minimal direction
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite products
  • Must have reliable mode of transportation
