Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Gulfport, MS. This role will support clinical and administrative users in a fast-paced healthcare environment while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on desktop support experience, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier I/II technical support for clinical and administrative end users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues
- Install, configure, image, and deploy desktops and laptops
- Respond to and document service desk tickets within established SLA requirements
- Support Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Perform software installations, patching, and system updates
- Assist with LAN/WLAN and basic network troubleshooting
- Maintain inventory tracking and lifecycle documentation for IT equipment
- Deliver end-user training and excellent customer support
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience
- OR
- High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of professional IT support experienceClearance Requirement:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain NACLC / IT-II eligibility
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience supporting Windows environments, desktop hardware/software, and basic networking
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 60 lbs
Required Certification
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required (Security+ or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP/DNS, and ticketing systems
- Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications preferred
- Prior healthcare, military, or government IT support experience strongly preferred
