Job description
As a Platform Engineer, you'll own the infrastructure that delivers the product to enterprise customers. The core of this work is a Bring-Your-Own-Cloud (BYOC) platform: a Kubernetes-based deployment system that runs inside customers' cloud environments. You'll build and operate it, work directly with customers from initial deployment through production support, and help define what the platform team looks like from the ground up.
This is not a role where you follow someone else's playbook. You'll make meaningful architectural decisions on infrastructure that supports enterprise customers at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Build and maintain the BYOC platform using Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and cloud APIs
Own database operations within the platform including backups, replication, high availability, and recovery
Develop deployment, monitoring, and testing infrastructure around the core platform
Work directly with enterprise customers through rollout and ongoing production support
Build CI/CD pipelines for continuous benchmarking, testing, and releases
Contribute to technical documentation, product demos, and platform tooling
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Go
Deep production-level Kubernetes experience
Experience working on managed infrastructure, cloud platform, or database products
Strong distributed systems background including microservices, APIs, and gRPC
Knowledge of relational database operations including replication, WAL, backups, and HA setups
Experience with Terraform, Helm, Bash/Python, and CI/CD tooling
Prior experience deploying infrastructure directly into customer cloud environments
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decision-making clearly
