Job description

The Curriculum Technology Integration Specialist plays a key role in advancing the district's teaching and learning mission through technology. This position collaborates with the Technology Director, the Director of Teaching and Learning, Curriculum Resource Teachers, and Principals to develop and implement technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minnesota Teaching License

  • At least five years of teaching experience.

  • Strong understanding of technology integration and high-quality instruction, with experience in technology integration and support.

  • Developed knowledge of technology hardware, software, and classroom tools (including Mac, Windows computers, iPads, and SmartBoards, as well as a variety of other educational technology hardware) and systems, with familiarity with classroom management systems.

  • Proven ability to acquire and put into action new knowledge and skills; a lifelong learner who develops expertise in new technologies.

  • Knowledge of technology vision, trends, and classroom applications, including the use of technology as a source for interventions.

  • Experience with providing professional development for adult learners and the ability to differentiate professional development based on skill levels.

  • Strong leadership, organization, management, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse groups with a strong service orientation.

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, patient, and confident in classroom management. KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Trained or have demonstrated the ability to provide collaborative feedback to colleagues.

  • Demonstrates understanding and alignment with district, department, and building goals.

  • Applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Computers and related software applications SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to operate a personal computer and related software.

  • Ability to get along with various types of people and personalities.

  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with staff and the school community.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and School Board policies.

  • Ability to work under stress and short timelines.

  • Working knowledge of the application of technology in the curriculum.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and own personal vehicle to use to travel within the district boundaries.
