Job description

Our client seeks a Mainframe Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain critical transmission components supporting bulk data sharing. The role requires collaboration with business and systems partners to deliver reliable software solutions. The engineer will contribute to modernization efforts and support a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent initiatives., * Develop and maintain mainframe software components in the transmissions domain.

  • Collaborate with business and systems partners to define and deliver solutions.
  • Support modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work across multiple efforts concurrently while meeting quality standards.
  • Contribute as a constructive teammate in both in-person and virtual settings.

Requirements

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance., * 5+ years of mainframe development with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.

  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Familiarity with File-AID, Easytrieve, and SPUFI (preferred).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate organizationally to accomplish tasks.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality and high standards.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
