Job description
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications supporting Financial Crimes use cases.
- Collaborate with business partners to refine stories and define requirements.
- Estimate effort and deliver through the full SDLC within Agile practices.
- Perform proofs of concept to mitigate risk and validate new approaches.
- Build and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
- Manage technical operations including change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades.
- Partner with Production Support, Platform, and upstream/downstream teams to implement changes.
- Source, analyze, and model data; design data provisioning models for large-scale AML datasets.
- Drive best practices and governance across data engineering workstreams.
- Develop present-state assessments, future-state designs, and transition plans with measurable outcomes.
- Communicate deliverables and timelines to managers, peers, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our Financial Crimes technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise data engineering, ETL development, and big data technologies and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions that support AML monitoring and surveillance outcomes., + 10+ years of software development and data engineering experience.

Strong Teradata 16.x, advanced SQL/BTEQ, TPT, and performance tuning expertise.

ETL development with Informatica 10.x and data migration/conversion experience.

Big data ecosystem experience: Cloudera CDP, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark, and/or Scala.

UNIX proficiency with shell scripting and Autosys scheduling.

Hands-on design/build skills and coordination across distributed teams.

Agile delivery with CI/CD tooling: Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.

Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and requirement discovery skills.

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline. Preferred Skills:

Domain knowledge in Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes.

Experience with data governance and scalable data provisioning for surveillance platforms.
