Job description
We are seeking an experienced iSeries Software Developer to support, enhance, and maintain warehouse management system (WMS) applications running on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. This role will work closely with operations, IT infrastructure, and business teams to develop and support warehouse, distribution, and inventory management solutions that improve efficiency and reliability across the organization., * Develop, maintain, and support IBM i / AS400 warehouse management applications.
- Design and modify RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2 programs related to warehouse operations.
- Support WMS integrations with ERP systems, handheld RF devices, barcode scanners, shipping systems, and third-party logistics providers.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution for warehouse and distribution operations.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, deployments, and change management processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, interfaces, and procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Monitor system performance and ensure application stability and data integrity.
- Assist with after-hours support as needed for critical warehouse operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of IBM i (AS400/iSeries) development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Strong experience with RPG IV / RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2 for i.
- Experience supporting or developing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and distribution processes.
- Experience with EDI, APIs, or system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
