Job description
- Design, develop, and deploy next-generation software applications that advance the Directed Spending business
- Build robust, scalable, and high-performance systems using modern engineering practices
- Integrate AI/ML techniques to create intelligent features, optimize workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making
- Analyze complex technical issues and implement root-cause fixes using AI-assisted and traditional engineering methods
- Research, prototype, and adopt emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage and accelerate innovation
- Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into engineering solutions
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform grows
- Contribute to reducing technical debt through modernization and continuous improvement
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
- Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience

5+ years of experience modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#, or similar)

5+ years of experience developing scalable, cloud-based applications (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

5+ years of experience with modern frameworks, microservices, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines

5+ years of experience analyzing complex problems, debugging efficiently, and delivering high-quality solutions

5+ years of experience collaborating and working with cross-functional partners (product, business, architecture)

3+ years of experience/knowledge of AI/ML concepts and ability to integrate AI-driven functionality into applications, * Experience in payments, fintech, or consumer-directed benefits/Directed Spending systems

Practical experience using AI tools for code generation, optimization, or defect analysis

Experience evaluating and implementing emerging technologies in production environments

Familiarity with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and performance tuning

The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
