Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled AWS Cloud Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based solutions across diverse enterprise environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies, drive innovation, and ensure the robustness and security of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud architecture, networking, virtualization, devSecOps, and IT infrastructure management, with a passion for developing scalable, reliable, and efficient cloud solutions that support business growth and digital transformation initiatives., * Lead the development and deployment of cloud infrastructure architectures utilizing AWS services such as S3, EC2, VPC, EKS, DevSecOps, and Lambda to meet organizational needs.

  • Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions integrating AWS with other platforms.
  • Manage virtualization technologies including Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Develop automation scripts and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Bash scripting and python to streamline deployment processes.
  • Oversee system hardening practices and security protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards through system patching, vulnerability assessments, VPN configurations, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with software development teams adopting Agile methodologies to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Git, and related DevOps tools.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud architecture best practices for SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and internet of things (IoT) integrations.
  • Monitor performance metrics and troubleshoot issues across Linux, Windows servers, databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL Server; ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies including Google Cloud Platform features like BigQuery or Anthos to recommend innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services including S3 storage solutions and RESTful API integrations.
  • Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design patterns, and web services development.
  • Proficiency in virtualization platforms such as containerization tools like Docker; orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash shell scripting; automation expertise using Terraform, Ansible; experience with CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices including system hardening techniques and VPN configurations for secure remote access.
  • Familiarity with multiple cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform and Azure; experience integrating multi-cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle), application development frameworks (.NET/Node.js/Ruby on Rails).
  • Experience working within Agile development teams; ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
