Job description

  • Ensure the implementation of Information System security controls continue to meet organization and customer requirements.
  • Review system documentation to confirm it accurately reflects the system security posture, capabilities, processes, and ensure it remains in compliance with designated security controls.
  • Monitor System Logs in accordance with System Audit and Accountability Policies
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the Information System Authorization to Operate through the management of Continuous Monitoring Strategies and Artifacts
  • Secure and maintain system components IAW established Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and customer directives.
  • Update anti-virus definitions, IPs signatures, and scan plugins to ensure visibility into the latest threats and attack vectors.
  • Assess network vulnerability scans and work with system engineers to schedule and apply patches in accordance with risk tolerance.
  • Manage system baseline changes and perform Security Impact Assessments to comply with customer and organization Change Control Processes
  • Review and Update System Security Plan and controls based on evolving and cutting-edge requirements in order to minimize system risk and maintain acceptable security posture.

  • Cisco Networking Appliances
  • VMWare Virtualization

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent years of either professional or military experience in related field
  • 4+ years of experience working as an ISSO supporting a government customer
