Job description

The Systems Engineer position is responsible for providing advanced support and performing routine maintenance on company's IT servers, security, email, backup, and disaster recovery services. Identify processes, procedures, scripting, or other methodologies whereby manual work may be simplified, structured, or replaced by automation. Provide expert technical support for desktop and server issues. Ensure that all IT services are properly maintained and upgraded, including anti-virus, backups, imaging, and patching, along with software product life cycle management and operating system deployment., * Install, configure, automate:

Operating systems Application software Systems management tools

  • Ability to foresee potential issues and ensure the highest level of system availability
  • Ability to work with developers on integrations and implement system improvements or fixes
  • Provide custom scripting or automation to increase system efficiency
  • Monitor existing systems for abnormal operating conditions

Event log events Up/Down status Error conditions

  • Solve reported issues by testing installed operating systems, hardware, or software
  • Provide technical assistance to IT service desk support staff and junior engineers
  • Implement security, systems, and redundant backups to maintain the environment
  • Liaise with vendors, associates, and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Assist in the definition or modification of hardware, software, or environmental standards
  • Work with both On-Premises, virtualization, and Software/Platform as a Service (SasS,PasS) environments
  • Mobile Device Management configuration and Software Deployment with Microsoft, Apple, and Android

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field , or 7 + years' experience in system engineering or IT support is required
  • Demonstrated prior experience as either a systems administrator or junior systems engineer, required
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune experience is required
  • Endpoint Administrator Associate (Exam MD-102) and Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102) is desired
  • Able to:

Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Train users of all levels to be proficient using computer-based applications Develop a thorough understanding of company's products and services Understand multiple applications of various types for deployment and configuration
