Job description

  • Guide students in building their own games and interactive projects
  • Use beginner-friendly platforms like:
  • Scratch
  • Microsoft MakeCode (Arcade & Minecraft)
  • Roblox Studio
  • Godot (G.Dot)
  • Unreal Engine (intro level)
  • GameMaker
  • Manage a classroom of up to 20 students
  • Create a fun, safe, and structured learning environment
  • Prepare materials and follow provided lesson plans
  • Track attendance and submit brief session notes
  • Communicate with program staff and school site coordinators

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teaching?, * Experience working with youth (schools, camps, tutoring, afterschool programs) preferred

  • Basic knowledge of coding, game development, or robotics
  • Comfortable learning and teaching platforms like Scratch, MakeCode, or Roblox
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Must have reliable transportation

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Roblox Studio, Godot, Unreal Engine, or GameMaker
  • Background in STEM, education, gaming, or tech
  • Experience teaching coding or robotics

Training Requirements (Required Before Start)

  • DOJ/FBI Background Check (Live Scan)
  • TB Test (within 2 years)
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Code of Conduct Training
  • Completion of Instructor Boot Camp

Benefits & conditions

Up to $50 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Pulled from the full job description

  • Paid training
  • Cell phone reimbursement, * Afterschool hours (typically between 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
  • 2-3 days per week
  • 4-6 total hours per week

Pay & Benefits

  • $50/hour OR $100 per 2-hour class session
  • $25 monthly cell phone stipend
  • Paid training provided
  • Opportunity for additional hours and program growth
