Job description
Our client seeks a Senior Java Software Developer to build secure, scalable back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security. The role emphasizes API design and integration through API gateways, distributed architectures, and containerized deployments on AWS. You will contribute to enterprise-grade systems and collaborate across engineering and architecture teams to deliver authentication and authorization capabilities., * Design and develop secure, scalable back-end services with Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security and related best practices.
- Design, build, and document RESTful APIs and integrate through API gateways.
- Develop microservices-based architectures leveraging modern distributed patterns.
- Build and operate containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, including managed services such as EKS.
- Ensure reliability through unit, functional, and integration testing with a focus on test automation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production and integration issues.
- Collaborate across engineering and architecture teams in an Agile environment.
Requirements

- Strong back-end expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs with API gateways.
- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies and best practices.
- Experience delivering secure, scalable, highly available systems on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration including Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.
- Proficiency with modern distributed architecture patterns and microservices using RESTful APIs.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing and automation.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with effective cross-team collaboration.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with CockroachDB (preferred).
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Jira (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- AWS certification (preferred).
