Senior software engineer

Cinteot is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our High Performance Computing (HPC) Research and Development team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role requires a strong technical background and a passion for innovation in software development. As a key member of the Technical User Support (TUS) team, you will collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and users to enhance our HPC systems and support cutting-edge research initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments.
• Support HPC users with workflow optimization for modeling and simulation challenges.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze, debug, and enhance existing codebases.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance through code reviews.
• Design and deliver training workshops and onboarding materials for HPC users.

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience developing modeling and simulation software.
• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C+ programming languages.
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems and Shell Scripting (BASH, Korn).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
