Job description
The IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimization of Raleigh Radiology's core technology environment across all locations. This role combines strategic infrastructure ownership with hands-on systems administration to ensure stability, security, and scalability of all IT systems. The position serves as a key technical resource and escalation point, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and managed service providers., * Infrastructure & Systems Ownership
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments. Administer and support virtualization platforms and enterprise systems. Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues. Plan and execute upgrades and migrations.
- Cloud, Network, and Security
- Manage cloud platforms, including Azure. Support network infrastructure, including firewalls and DNS. Maintain cybersecurity controls and endpoint protection. Optimize platforms such as Cloudflare.
- Operational Support & Escalation
- Serve as an escalation point for complex issues. Troubles with hardware, software, and network problems. Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Documentation & Systems Management
- Maintain documentation using tools such as Hudu. Track assets, configurations, and dependencies.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Develop and test backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Vendor & MSP Coordination
- Collaborate with vendors and MSPs to maintain infrastructure and ensure service performance.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Support compliance initiatives and utilize tools such as StraightPath for risk tracking.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and support system adoption across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience., 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering. Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, Azure, and networking., Experience with Cloudflare, Hudu, StraightPath, Fortinet, Cisco, or Meraki. Certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, or CompTIA.Experience in healthcare or regulated environments., Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, effective communication, and strong ownership.
