Job description
The HR Systems Operations Specialist provides specialized support in functional areas of expertise, including Workday, to process and troubleshoot end-user inquiries. This role sits within the HR Systems organization and requires a candidate with strong employee orientation, understanding of Human Resources business processes and expert technical knowledge of HR Technology platforms. A successful candidate must provide line of sight into HRIS Operations teamwork, manage recurring and ad hoc operational inquiries, and deliver on various technical and functional projects., * Serve as first point of contact for associate, manager and HR end-user questions related to Workday business processes covering Recruiting, Onboarding, HCM, Compensation, Performance, Time & Absence, and Benefits modules, as well as security in Workday and integrated systems
- Individually respond to high volume of standard inquiries with limited escalation such as security/access, system navigation, transaction status, policy, program, and process questions
- Ensure inquiries are addressed timely, to high level of satisfaction within stated SLAs
- Run regular audits to ensure data quality and adherence to policies
- Enhance, mature, and maintain procedural documents, building on existing core operational process guides
- Provide ongoing testing support and peer review of enhancements and configuration Jiras for aligned Product Delivery team, supporting the Product Development, Project Management and HR Technology counterparts
- Support completion and success of complex, specialized processes/transactions such as:
- Annual Compensation Planning activities
- Annual Performance Management activities
- Biannual Workday Release testing
- Troubleshoot and test issues with design, build, and new functionality including:
- Business Process changes - Condition rules, custom notifications, help text, etc.
- Security groups and assignments
- Custom Reports and report schedules
- Monitor delegation and completion of Workday processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR systems operations, preferably Workday HCM, including experience with business processes, data structure, domain and BP security, reporting & calculated fields, and data auditing.
- Knowledge of HR business processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong service orientation with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, taking direction from multiple team members.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong work ethic and motivated to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
- Exceptional time management skills and an ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- A 'systems' thinker with a process orientation and significant attention to detail.
- Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- High level of executive presence.
- Ability to work successfully with a global team.
- Hands on experience using ServiceNow and Jira (Preferred).
- Change management experience preferred.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 69,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
