Job description
Responsible for the management and supervision of a team of contracts specialists and administrators supporting the largest site within the Fluid Systems Division. Responsible for management and administration of existing contracts, backlog management, and customer experience for domestic and international commercial and military contracts. Leads the team by aligning and implementing effective goals, policies, and procedures to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
Ensures the team is providing proper oversight for assigned programs and conducts contract risk management reviews as required, while providing recommendations to efficiently and cost effectively mitigate potential risks. Manages the change control process in conjunction with the Site Business Team. Considered part of the Site Leadership Team.
Acts as a mentor and provides training to the Site Contract Administration function and other site functional teams, as needed.
SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:
Has Direct Reports
Reports to the Division Customer Experience Manager. Manages a mid-size team of professionals. Has regular interaction with Division and Site leadership and external stakeholders, including commercial and military customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Applies thorough knowledge of products and services and understanding of Site goals and strategies while managing the Site contract administration function. Supports the site by implementing strategic objectives and tactical goals.
- Leads and guides the Site Contract Administration Team in performing analysis, interpretation, investigation, and research of critical contractual information and data. Provides guidance on contract interpretation and developing recommendations and negotiation alternatives.
- Manages the workload of the Contract Administration Team to ensure that each contract is assigned to a team member with the appropriate skill level and experience.
- Oversees and approves task planning on assigned contracts. Approves resource requirements and effort estimates. Applies an understanding of program financial reporting methods. Ensures an effective process to advise other teams of contractual flow down requirements.
- Establishes direction for the functional team and direct reports. Develops and mentors others. Champions professional certification and career development for the Group contracts administration/management community.
- Investigates and resolves compliance problems and responds to questions from internal or customer sources and government regulatory agencies.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including the Liberal Arts. Seven (7) or more years of related experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in a team leadership role, including direct supervision. Demonstrated experience with multiple contracts of varying complexity and scope.
- Master's level degree or advanced contracts management certification required. This requirement could be waived with multiple years of demonstrated successful management of a contract administration team.
- Broad understanding and knowledge of contract management processes and various contract types. Thorough knowledge of regulations and laws applicable to contracts.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision. Able to respond to significant inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other teams. Able to influence business decisions and negotiate resource allocation.
- Effectively uses current information technology, systems, and business applications related to contracting and customer/supplier interface; is proficient with standard software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Salesforce), project management, and database analysis tools.

Competitive Compensation
- Pay Range: $120500 to $210950 annually
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
