Job description
Synergy seeks a Systems Architect with extensive Atlassian experience to serve as the technical lead on a IT business support services contract supporting our federal client. The Systems Architect will support and enhance the customer's Atlassian toolset, driving consistency and standardization in workflows, streamlining and automating processes, and ensuring DevSecOps best practices are leveraged across teams., * Responsible for Atlassian suite of products administration and support. Includes maintenance of users, plug-ins, projects, integrations, licensing, and general support of new requests for the platform.
- Deliver quarterly releases providing new Jira projects, workflows and support to nearly 2,000 users of the Atlassian suite of tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Crowd.
- Provide user training for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and related plugins and processes.
- Research and evaluate new Atlassian tools such as Jira Align.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technology solutions.
- Assist with software and infrastructure management, inventory, installations, configurations, and connectivity.
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance automation for new services.
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot problems within network, storage, and servers in a cloud environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years experience with Atlassian administration.
- Proficiency in IT business/system analysis.
- Competency implementing ITIL V4 best practices.
- Overall technical knowledge of SAP software with ability to review and provide feedback on support documents.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum development methodology.
- Ability to understand business models and operational risk.
- Analytical ability, pragmatic problem-solving skills, and strong sense of task ownership.
- Ownership over regular, consistent, and proactive communications with various levels of government stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate amongst multiple different team types, and own responsibility for coordinating and communicating multiple tasks across multiple teams supporting a variety of different applications., * Prior experience with Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) and their administration.
- Prior experience with Microsoft SharePoint and O365 development.
- Prior experience working with AWS Cloud environments.
- Prior experience Agile or SAFe methodologies preferred.

- US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (green card holder).
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
Benefits & conditions
Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual's combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $160,000.00 - $210,000.00. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy's total compensation package for employees.
