Job description
We are looking for a CAD Support Lead with strong experience in Siemens NX and enterprise engineering support environments. The candidate will act as the first line of support for Mechanical CAD (MCAD) users, handling technical issues, onboarding, installation, licensing, and NX-PLM integrations. The role requires excellent troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills in a fast-paced engineering setup., * Provide Tier-1 support for Siemens NX users through Jira ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve:
- NX application launch failures
- User login and access issues
- License checkout and expiration problems
- Support users with basic Siemens NX operations:
- 3D Part files
- Assembly files
- Drawing files
- Install, configure, and maintain approved Siemens NX versions
- Perform basic FlexLM license diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Validate workstation readiness including:
- Windows / Linux / Mac OS compatibility
- Graphics configuration
- Memory and VPN connectivity
- Support NX and Teamcenter/PLM connectivity issues
- Assist with onboarding and setup for new mechanical engineering users
- Track, document, and update incidents in Jira
- Coordinate with engineering and IT teams for issue resolution and escalation
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, * Strong knowledge of:
- Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments
- Networking and Software Configuration Management
- Basic to intermediate experience with Siemens NX (Design & Drafting modules)
- Familiarity with Teamcenter or other PLM systems
- Understanding of NX licensing concepts:
- Floating licenses
- Node-locked licenses
- Experience with FlexLM licensing support
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Strong communication and user support abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise engineering environments
- Prior exposure to CAD/PLM administration or support roles
- Knowledge of engineering workflows and product lifecycle management
Experience Required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Siemens NX support or IT support within an engineering environment
- Overall experience: 6-12 years preferred
