General Summary: Responsible for assisting agency and local education agency staff & students with computers, networking, hardware/software installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair., * Primary function is to provide technology support to managed services customers and support to staff.
- Provide excellent customer service for all customers.
Responsible for computer hardware:
- Perform preventive maintenance and diagnosis of Windows, macOS, iOS, and ChromeOS computer systems and peripherals.
- Install, build, upgrade, and ensure proper operation of computer systems and related hardware
- Perform troubleshooting, coordinate repairs and maintain repair records.
- Coordinate transportation when hardware is moved.
- Keep accurate inventory records for all hardware and software.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and manage network hardware:
- Demonstrate ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of network components (i.e. cabling, switches, wireless access points, video conferencing components, etc…)
- Understanding of Network Topologies and Protocols.
- Responsible for computer Software, Responsible for knowing and following best practice in cyber security, online safety, and threat detection/prevention.
Provide telephone as well as direct support for local education agencies.
Responsible for promoting a positive image of the agency.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
Qualifications: Associate (2-year degree) preferred or high school graduate/GED with 2 years related experience. OR Associate (2-year degree) required OR five years related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks. Experience and working knowledge of Google Workspace. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate and explain complex issues., * Knowledge of and experience in Windows, macOS, iOS and ChromeOS operating systems.
- Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot

- Understanding of Windows, macOS, iOS, and ChromeOS networking
- Understanding of Network Protocols - ATP, TCP, UDP…
Internet
- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of client side Internet services (email, TCP/IP, VPN, etc..) for Windows, macOS, iOS, and ChromeOS workstations
Support software - for Windows, macOS, iOS, and ChromeOS workstations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Google Workspace
- Ability to learn and support all supported software., Ability to travel.
Ability to work flexible hours, including minimal evenings and weekends
Repair computer hardware, lift 30 lbs, operate microcomputer hardware and software.
Requires good eye/hand/finger coordination to keyboard and to operate office machines. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Good concentration and visual skills required. Normal, routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, hearing, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, vision and walking and may also involve above-average levels of activity at times that can't always be anticipated.
