Job description
Our Defense, Security & Critical Infrastructure (DS&CI) division is seeking a Sr. Systems Application Engineer to support its advanced-technology R&D group. This team delivers innovative, high-impact solutions across the full product lifecycle from concept and rapid prototyping through testing and field deployment. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for RF hardware and software development. Candidates will have deep technical expertise in electrical and RF engineering, the ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments, and the entrepreneurial drive to Make Ideas Real.
Your tasks Design, lead, and manage technical aspects of RF communications systems development Execute radio/antenna/communications system analysis, requirements definition, design, integration, and testing Implement FPGA firmware for RF signal processing Design and integrate front and back-end antenna systems, phased arrays, and RF components and circuitry Develop and optimize prototype RF waveforms

Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) with 8+ years of experience or M.S. with 6+ years of experience. Experience integrating RF/High-speed digital systems Experience designing firmware, particularly for AMD/Xilinx FPGAs Experience implementing DSPs in RF communication systems Proficiency in RF systems design, debugging, and test-equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers) MATLAB/Python modeling and scripting C/C++ experience on embedded Linux systems Knowledge of systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures Comfortability being an individual contributor Willingness to engage in rapid development and prototyping projects M.S. in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on antenna and RF preferred. Experience designing and implementing RF waveforms preferred. Experience with modern commercial and military datalink systems and standards preferred. Experience with SWaP-C2 product design and development preferred. Mastery of Linux system architecture preferred. Deep knowledge of IP networking stack preferred. Understanding of electronic beam forming, beam steering, and array synthesis preferred.
Benefits & conditions
The total compensation for this position is $110K-$150K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
