Job description

As a Autonomy UX Lead for JD Intelligent Solutions Group Location located in Cary, NC, you will:

  • Discover, Define, lead the delivery of human-autonomy experiences, including on-machine and remote interactions
  • Lead creation of customer journey maps, workflows, and experience metrics to describe, measure, and improve customer experiences with autonomy products
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX Design, UX Research, Systems Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, and Software team members to deliver a best-in-class user experience to John Deere customers
  • Contribute to, and lead execution of, the UX strategy for autonomy for turf products
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform user-centered research utilizing a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods in both in-field and remote studies, The terms of the applicable benefit plans, and all company actions administering or interpreting these plans, continue to control. Deere & Company reserves the right to suspend, amend, modify, or terminate the Plan(s) in any manner at any time, including the right to modify or eliminate any cost-sharing between the company and participants. Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in a UX discipline
  • 3 or more years of experience working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, software development, marketing, and business leaders
  • 3 or more years of experience successfully managing multiple project schedules and milestones
  • Strong strategic and communication skills and an ability to lead teams through the user centered design process
  • 3 or more years of experience of communicating research methodology, design concepts, data analysis, and test results to a broad range of stakeholders
  • 3 or more years synthesizing UX research findings into differentiated design solutions

What Makes You Standout

  • Work or academic experience in autonomous or highly automated vehicle UX
  • Experience with human-technology teaming research and knowledge of automation and autonomy UX challenges (e.g., trust, reliance, compliance, etc)
  • Experience using UX metrics to provide insights to product and engineering groups
  • Advanced Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Human Machine Interaction, or related field discipline
  • Experience applying Human Factors principles in the Turf, Agriculture, Heavy Machinery, or Transportation industries
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize prototyping and/or existing research to provide insights to design ahead of software/physical builds

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Human Factors, Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Graphic Design, Interaction Design
  • Master's or Ph.D. preferred
