Digital is the multiplier that will allow Development Sciences and Clinical Supply (DSCS) to deliver better experiments faster, efficient filing and launch, more robust supply chains and higher-confidence decisions across the portfolio. The DSCS Digital Technologies (DDT) organization is tasked with the mission to pioneer and deploy innovative digital technologies that drive the acquisition, automation and utilization of data to enhance insights, efficiency, and quality of DSCS processes and methods.
The DSCS Digital Technologies Program Manager will support our company's digital strategy by building and leading a Program/Project Management structure to enhance speed, capacity, and reliability. The position requires strong project management and problem-solving skills, along with R&D experience in drug substance or product development, or analytical research. A passion for digital solutions and experience implementing them is preferred.
You will drive focus on operational excellence within the group and capital projects, working closely across functional teams, project managers, and supporting change management of our digital solutions.
The DSCS Digital Program Manager will:
- Work with the DSCS Digital Technologies Leadership Team, workstream leads and use case leads to build an integrated plan, track progress, capture KPIs, risks, issues, mitigation plans and quantify value realization.
- Support interfaces across strategic programs and understand dependencies, inclusive of IT and its program management, and Finance.
- Manage the Stage Gate process for Use-Cases, enduring standard format, and minimum quality by setting up and facilitating cross-functional meetings and workshops.
- Drive Change Management activities associated for each of the stage gates, in alignment with Change Management Strategy Lead.
- Maintain view of DDT Critical Path for delivery and ensuring focus on risks/issues that might impact, optimizing program execution
- Serve as Capital Project Team lead for engagements with capital governance.
Knowledge, Duties & Responsibilities Include:

- Ensure application of governance processes and accurate documentation of decisions, actions, and outcomes, including organizational spend vs budget.
- Support team in development of use-case metrics, and implement tracking mechanism for realization
- Develop business and technical content and compose complex presentations and both intra- and inter-divisional communications.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as "remote".
The salary range for this role is $173,200.00 - $272,600.00
Requirements
- Ph.D. with +6 years or B.S. with +8 years required with a concentration in a scientific-related discipline strongly preferred., * Research, manufacturing, and project/program management experience in pharma
- Demonstrated ability to establish networks, build connections, and work across boundaries
- Proven ability to lead the planning and execution of cross-functional strategic change initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage scope, time, and cost of enterprise projects; is business savvy and results-oriented
- Effective at conveying a vision, energizing others, establishing goals, delegating responsibility, mentoring and coaching
