Job description

The IT Assistant II is responsible for managing IT procurement activities, processing invoices for approval, and administering the corporate mobile phone program. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, accurate financial processing, and smooth day-to-day operations of corporate mobility services, while maintaining compliance with company policies and vendor agreements. This is a corporate / regional position located within the AM Region reporting into the Farmington Hills, MI location with a hybrid work model., * IT Purchasing & Procurement

  • Coordinate the purchase of IT hardware, software, and services in alignment with business needs and approved budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and renewals.
  • Invoice Processing & Approvals
  • Download, review, and process IT-related invoices for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders and contracts.
  • Route invoices through the appropriate approval workflow.
  • Track and resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and vendor statements.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation to support reporting and audits.
  • Corporate Cell Phone Program Administration
  • Manage the lifecycle of corporate mobile devices, including procurement, activation, assignment, and deactivation.
  • Administer carrier accounts, including billing review, plan optimization, and cost control.
  • Provide support for employees with mobile device issues, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Serve as the liaison between the carrier account representative and individual site administrators, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and consistent program administration across locations.
  • Communicate policies for corporate cell phone usage and eligibility.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, invoice processing, or administrative roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP or procurement systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with IT procurement or telecom administration.
  • Knowledge of corporate expense management practices.
  • Analytical skills for cost control and vendor performance tracking.
