Job description
- Apply Agile-based software engineering with responsibilities such as preparing, creating, reviewing, and analyzing documentation for Planning, Requirements, Design, Coding, Support, and Test.
- Source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments.
- Determine and design system specifications, standards, programming/coding, and installing solutions.
- Improve operations by conducting systems and process analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Advise on software procurements by researching, analyzing, comparing vendors and products, including installation, configuration, and testing.
- Provide information and recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service related issues.
- Accomplish engineering and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
- Develop software solutions by studying requirements/user stories, user/system/data needs, consulting users, studying system flows, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following an Agile software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate software technologies such as containerization, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, configuration as code, micro-services, APIs, CI/CD, and maximizing automation of the SDLC.
- Ensure rigorous application of information security and cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to software services.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Either Master's or Doctorate degree with 10 years of experience in the related discipline (5 of which must be in the DoW); or Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience (5 in the DoW); or 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications and 8 in the DoW.
- Technical skills in systems and software engineering covering the full acquisition life cycle.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket).
- Experience implementing new IT/Business System technologies including Cloud, ERP, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Cloud One, AWS, MS Azure.
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS, Fusion Middleware, Integration Cloud, Fusion Cloud HCM, APIaaS, IAP, Oracle Fusion Apps, OIC, and integration with Legacy systems.
- Experience with DoW IT networks and services - GCDS, SCCA, BCAP, Cloud Computing SRG.
- Experience building automated integrations and maintaining data exchanges between Oracle EBS (on-prem) and HCM SaaS.
- Proficiency with Unix, .NET, Java, JavaScript and related tools.
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering practices - AI, serverless architecture, micro-services.
- Experience with Air Force program system/software engineering policies, procedures, and practices.
- Knowledge of Federal and DoW cybersecurity regulations and policies; experience with RMF.
- Secret clearance required and must maintain clearance., * 3-5+ years of systems engineering with sustainment, troubleshooting, modernization of enterprise-level IT systems.
- Oracle ERP skills.
- Cloud architecture experience.
- IAT/IAM level II certification or equivalent (Security+ preferred).
