Job description
We are seeking a skilled Active Directory Engineer to support and enhance large-scale, complex Active Directory (AD) environments. This role focuses on security hardening, engineering, and operational support while contributing to enterprise-wide security initiatives. The candidate will collaborate with AD teams and business stakeholders to improve security posture, drive consolidation, and support migration efforts, including those related to mergers and acquisitions.
Team Structure:
- Team Size: 7 members
- Composition:
- 6 Active Directory Security Engineers
- 1 Active Directory Security Manager, * Manage and support multiple Active Directory environments
- Perform security hardening aligned with corporate security standards
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve AD performance issues
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within AD environments
- Collaborate with business and application teams to improve AD security
- Support application migrations to core or cloud-based AD environments
- Assist in AD consolidation initiatives across environments
- Participate in AD audit reviews and security investigations
- Monitor AD stability, performance, and availability
- Investigate unusual or suspicious AD activities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Contribute to project execution and lead small initiatives when required
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Requirements
- Strong experience with Active Directory administration and engineering
- Hands-on experience with AD domain migrations and integrations
- Knowledge of AD security best practices and hardening techniques
- Experience working with large, multi-domain AD environments
- Familiarity with AD monitoring, auditing, and security tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AD consolidation and M&A integrations
- Exposure to cloud-based Active Directory environments (e.g., Azure AD)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
