Job description
We are seeking a Computing Systems Professional 1 (CSP-1) to join the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)'s Special Security IT & Cyber Operations (SSO-3) team. In this role, you will support primarily Windows computing for critical classified networks accredited by DOE-IN in support of multiple Strategic Intelligence Partnership Projects. You will be responsible for resolving tough technical issues for a variety of highly skilled scientists in an airgapped environment. Typical daily duties will include the installation, management, and troubleshooting of Windows 11 client systems, associated networks and applications, and other services. The role also requires close integration with Cybersecurity for process execution in compliance with security requirements and 1:1 integration with the Networking, Linux, or Windows teams to cross-train and build a robust skill set in our environment. What You Need
Requirements
- Experience performing systems administration for Microsoft Windows-based computing, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including security group management
- Proven track record working effectively in a team environment, including addressing interpersonal issues and interacting with customers and peers in a professional and responsive manner.
- Demonstrated contributions to the development of IT business processes and procedures
- Experience in writing technical documentation for IT processes and procedures
- Experience with administering an IT help-desk service (customer phone calls, emails, tickets, walk-ins)
Education and Experience Requirements Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combinations of education and experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience performing systems administration in a classified environment
- Experience with endpoint management tools for IT (SCCM, MECM, MDT, Ansible)
- Experience with Cybersecurity endpoint agents (Splunk, ePO / ACAS, Trellix)
- Familiarity with vulnerability remediation
- Experience with NIST 800-53 and Security Technical Implementation Guidelines
- Active Q clearance or DoD Top Secret SCI, * Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
