Job description
As a Population Health Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating data sets specific to Medicare and Medicaid populations on various dimensions of data quality such as accuracy, completeness, and duplication of data. You will analyze the scope of data quality issues, resolve them, and recommend procedures or best practices to prevent reoccurrence. This role requires a strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid claims data and the ability to manage data in a relational database environment. You will perform in-depth analysis, including pattern analysis, of health care activities and projects related to Medicare/Medicaid populations. Additionally, you will assist with complex data loads, queries, stored procedures, and processes to maintain data integrity within the database. This position may be filled at either an entry-level or senior level, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. This is a remote position; however, candidates must live in Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, or Washington, DC to be eligible., * Data Quality Evaluation: Assess data sets for Medicare/Medicaid populations on dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, and duplication. Identify and analyze the scope of data quality issues within Medicare/Medicaid claims data.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve data quality issues promptly and effectively. Develop and recommend procedures or best practices to prevent the reoccurrence of data quality issues.
- Data Management: Manage data within a relational database environment specific to Medicare/Medicaid populations. Ensure data integrity and maintain the database through complex data loads, queries, stored procedures, and processes.
- Data Analysis: Perform detailed analysis, including pattern analysis, of health care activities and projects related to Medicare/Medicaid populations. Utilize strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid claims data to inform analysis and recommendations.
- Collaboration and Support: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making for Medicare/Medicaid healthcare quality programs. Provide assistance and guidance on data-related issues to team members and stakeholders.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Four-year degree in statistics, mathematics, Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated experience using SQL.
- Experience with data analysis or design of analytical reports.
- Experience with Data Warehouse data mapping and problem solving.
- Because of the nature and immediacy of the work, the ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential.
- Senior-level requirements:
- Demonstrated 3+ years experience using SQL.
- 3+ years experience with data analysis or design of analytical reports.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in health care HEDIS quality measures, analysis or research preferred, specifically Health Care Claims Data.
- Preferred experience with two or more of the following: SQL Server, Redshift or Postgres
