Job description
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring active participation in design, development, and delivery using modern technologies. You will:
Lead development efforts for complex initiatives
Perform and guide code reviews while enforcing coding standards and best practices
Collaborate with architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture
Mentor and guide team members in the adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and engineering practices, * Act as a trusted advisor by recommending sound technical solutions that support business initiatives while aligning with technology strategy
- Provide hands-on development support and bridge architectural principles with practical implementation
- Lead the design and presentation of technical solutions, connecting business requirements to technical outcomes
- Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Application teams for technology selection, evaluation, and implementation
- Drive delivery across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Work within Agile delivery models, supporting iterative development and continuous improvement
Requirements
Strong experience in application development and maintenance using Java EE and Spring Framework
Proven understanding of Microservices Architecture, including RESTful APIs, JAX-RS, REST/JSON patterns
Solid experience with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and strong SQL proficiency
Experience with event-driven architectures, transaction processing, and messaging using technologies such as WSO2, ActiveMQ, and Tomcat
Knowledge of security integration, including OAuth and LDAP
Hands-on experience with development and DevOps tools including: Git, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy JIRA, Artifactory Dynatrace, Sonar
Understanding of cloud deployment models with exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Front-end exposure using HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular (v17+)
Working knowledge of AI-powered development assistance tools such as Copilot or Claude Code
Understanding of batch processing systems and service bus / messaging queue concepts
