We are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to join the CRM and Media Marketing Analytics team, where they will lead analytical strategy and execution across customer relationship management, paid media, and marketing effectiveness throughout the consumer lifecycle. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that blends deep analytical expertise with compelling storytelling and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
You will become an expert in PayPal's consumer funnel, uncovering insights into acquisition, engagement, and retention across products, markets, and customer segments. Your work will translate large and complex data sets into actionable recommendations that inform strategies and inspire confidence in senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

Requirements
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience., * Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related).
- 6-8 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles, ideally within financial services, internet services, technology, or comparable data-rich complex industries.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker). Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Experience applying statistical modeling, machine learning, or experimentation to marketing and media problems.
- Ability to independently design, execute, and communicate analyses that influence decision-making.
- Experience partnering with media agencies and mar-tech/ad-tech teams to enhance data quality, measurement, and targeting capabilities.
- Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving drive, and comfort with ambiguity and complexity.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
