Job description

As Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence applications and reporting solutions across both the Questar UK and Ai4Fleets platforms. Working with minimal supervision, you will manage end-to-end data analysis, reporting and data modelling activities, turning complex telematics and operational datasets into clear, actionable insight that drives better decision-making across the business., * Understand business requirements for management information, data analytics and reporting, and develop solutions to meet those needs across both platforms.

  • Work with internal stakeholders including Customer Success Managers and Customer Relationship Managers to develop reports, dashboards and templates that support their roles.
  • Use SQL to query telematics datasets stored within Databricks.
  • Use Power BI, Power BI Paginated Report Builder, Power Automate, Databricks and other tools to create and schedule reports and dashboards.
  • Lead the development of customer and industry insight that leverages rich datasets from both Questar UK and Ai4Fleets.
  • Take ownership of business requirements for reporting systems and analytical solutions, managing development, implementation and ongoing data management standards.
  • Provide data requirements and analysis for various projects across the business.
  • Act as a key contributor and provide expert advice to other teams on technical and operational data matters.
  • Identify training needs and work with global partner companies to obtain the knowledge required to carry out the role effectively.
  • Ensure data protection is always held as the highest priority, working with the data controller to ensure all actions, reports and processes comply with current policies. Report any data breaches or potential data loss immediately.
  • Work with the Business Development Director and Operations Manager to align reporting workloads with the strategic direction of the business.
  • Assist the IT Manager with a broad range of IT-related responsibilities as defined through collaborative working.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports highlighting time attributed to the planning and development of reports, dashboards and templates, enabling the business to identify time allocated to each customer.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Power BI?, * Experience in data analysis, reporting and business intelligence development.

  • Proficient in SQL and experience querying large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and related Microsoft data tools.
  • Ability to present complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Effective self-management skills with the ability to prioritise and plan in the face of conflicting demands.
  • Experience creating, managing and improving business processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to audiences across all business functions.
  • Flexibility to adapt, promote change and learn new skills, concepts and processes.
  • A qualification in data analytics is essential, such as the Google Data Analytics Certificate or Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300)., * Business Intelligence: 2 years (preferred)

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person, with the possibility of hybrid working, three days in the office and two days from home, following successful completion of the probation period.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
