Job description
This is a unique hybrid role for a hands-on expert in III-V compound semiconductor epitaxy who can oversee and troubleshoot the entire epitaxial process flow for advanced photonic devices.Working from the UK, you will travel to oversee critical process development, qualification, and production ramp at foundry partners. You will serve as the primary technical authority for epitaxial growth, ensuring that external manufacturing meets the stringent performance and reliability requirements of next-generation optical communications products. What You'll DoServe as the primary technical liaison for all epitaxy activities at foundries in Europe and China.Lead day-to-day epitaxy operations, including process planning, recipe optimization, growth execution, and materials characterization using tools such as XRD, PL, CL, EL, SEM, AFM, and surface defectivity assessmentsConduct process testing, experimental design, data analysis, and quality assurance activities to improve epitaxial performance, uniformity, repeatability, and yieldDrive continuous improvement across process stability, manufacturability, throughput, and cost efficiencyCollaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and external foundry teams to achieve project milestonesDrive the development of advanced III-V epitaxy technologies to enable next-generation photonics and semiconductor devicesContribute to technology roadmap activities, IP development, and future semiconductor platform development
