IT Field Engineer

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Virtualization?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, A perfect blend of working for a small, well organised IT consultancy, working from home as desktop support, and going to site when needed for support, maintenance, projects. Must provide your own vehicle, mileage paid at highest rate. If you want a varied role with different tasks each week, then this is the role for you. The role is also to assist the director with goals and tasks. The business maintains and improves the IT infrastructure of many customers' IT infrastructure. So excellent time and organisation skills are needed for this role, and the ability to work well under pressure. Multitasking is essential. A "can-do attitude". Good analytical skills are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• ** Good personal presentation and communication skills
• ** Experience of desktop support -Windows/Mac
• ** Microsoft 365 setup / administration
• ** Server based - Physical maintenance and Virtualisation
• ** Active Directory, group policies, File Permissions
• ** Network setup - Installation and configuration of network switches
• ** Firewall configuration
• ** Switch configuration - VLANs, IP Routing and more
• ** VOIP previous experience
• ** Wireless setup and troubleshooting
• ** basic Apple knowledge a bonus
• ** basic linux knowedlege a bonus
• ** programming experience a bonus
• ** Can demonstrate previous experience in problem-solving, customer services, clear telephone skills
