Job description

Fine Lady Bakeries is looking for an OT / IT & Data Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team supporting a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing operation.

This is an onsite role based in Banbury with some travel to our Manchester Site.

This is a hands-on role focused on supporting factory-floor systems, production connectivity, and business-critical data flows across the organisation. Acting as a bridge between IT, OT, and operational reporting, you will play a key role in ensuring production systems remain reliable, secure, and well-supported.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and the wider IT team, you will help support and improve the technology and data systems that directly impact manufacturing performance, operational efficiency, and customer delivery., * Support and maintain plant-floor PCs, terminals, and industrial endpoints used within production

  • Troubleshoot OT connectivity and production system issues in collaboration with Engineering and third-party vendors
  • Support OT network segmentation and secure production connectivity
  • Coordinate and manage vendor remote access for OT systems
  • Monitor and support production data flows, reporting systems, and operational integrations
  • Troubleshoot SQL/data flow issues impacting reporting and operational decision-making
  • Maintain OT documentation including network diagrams, recovery procedures, and asset inventories
  • Support ongoing development and improvement of operational systems and reporting processes, * Opportunity to work within a growing and ambitious manufacturing business

Due to the nature of the role and our 24/7 operation, there will be occasional out-of-hours support requirements for critical incidents.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting systems within a manufacturing, industrial, or high-availability environment
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including IP, VLANs, and routing concepts
  • Experience supporting Windows endpoints and operational systems
  • Working knowledge of SQL fundamentals and troubleshooting data flow issues
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and external vendors

Desirable

  • Experience supporting OT or production data systems
  • Knowledge of IT/OT segmentation and vendor access controls
  • Awareness of Power BI or operational reporting environments
  • Experience working with ticketing systems or change control processes
  • Experience supporting MES, production reporting, or shop-floor integrations
