Job description

AWS Lambda Developer 6 Month contract initially Based: Mostly remote - Max 1 day p/w = Edinburgh Rate - £400 - £450 p/d via Umbrella

Key Responsibilities: o Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda and related AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and Step Functions. o Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code in languages such as Python or Java. o Optimize Lambda functions for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. o Implement event-driven architectures and integrate with microservices and third-party APIs. o Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug applications using tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray. o Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in cloud deployments. o Automate CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and version control. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality cloud solutions.

Key Skills & Experience: o Strong expertise in serverless development using AWS Lambda, with proficiency in Python o Hands-on experience with AWS ecosystem and i o Integrations including API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and designing RESTful APIs and Back End services o Good understanding of cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, security (IAM), and monitoring (CloudWatch) for building scalable and secure solutions o Deep understanding of core AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, etc. o Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
