And our work depends on a Frontend Software Developer joining our team to support Government activities at Chantilly, VA., GDIT is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team of building scalable, maintainable and high-performance UI applications using a microservices architecture. As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing application frontend framework and technologies, with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with our backend microservices. You will work closely with our development team to build reusable UI components, optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility.

Requirements

Agile Methodology,Angular,GitHub, 5 + years of related experience, * Demonstrated hand on experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, and proficiency in building reusable UI components

  • Strong understanding of UI design principles, human-computer interaction and user experience (UX) best practices
  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on building responsive and interactive UI components
  • Familiarity with UI development tools such as Angular, HTML, Material, and CSS preprocessors like Sass
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating them with UI components
  • Strong understanding of UI performance optimization techniques, such as code splitting, lazy loading, and caching
  • Experience with version control systems like Git (GitHub, GitLab, etc.,)
  • Experience with Utilizing CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with designing and implementing UI components that interact with backend services, such as AWS Services (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB)
  • Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Location: Chantilly, VA (On Customer Site)
  • US Citizenship Required

Desired experience with:

  • Experience with UI testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Karma, Jasmine
  • Familiarity with UI design systems and style guides, such as Material UI or Bootstrap
  • Experience with building and maintaining complex, data-driven UI components
  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices for guiding accessible UI components
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
  • Experience working on large scale complex UID codebase

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other frontend Frameworks such as React or Vue.js
  • Familiarity with backend technologies such as Java, Python or Node.js
  • Experiences with AWS Services such as EKS ad Step Functions

Benefits & conditions

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
