Job description
The Security Architect is responsible for designing enterprise & systems security throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- This role involves translating technology & environmental conditions (laws & regulations), into effective security designs & processes, w/ a focus on implementing Zero Trust (ZT) principles.
- Must design, develop, & implement security architectures for enterprise systems throughout the development lifecycle, incorporating ZT principles.
- Must be able to support 1) Regulatory Compliance: Translate laws, regulations, & environmental conditions into security designs & processes, 2) Lifecycle Management: Ensure security is integrated at every stage of the system & software development lifecycles, 3) Collaboration: Work w/ cross-functional teams to meet security requirements, & 4) Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date w/ security trends, threats, & best practices.
Requirements
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- AA/AS Degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university -or- Substitute 3+ Yrs of related EXP.
- Training, Certifications, EXP, & Clearance Requirements:
- IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification & applicable CE/OS Certification.
- EXP w/ regulatory compliance, lifecycle management, collaboration, & staying informed. Also requires EXP w/ Zero Trust, Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, GitLab, SaaS Security, & Palo Alto.
- EXP w/ ACAS, Microsoft Defender, STIGs, Microsoft 365, SaaS Security, RHEL, Windows Server, MacOS, & eMASS.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
- Secret Clearance

The salary range for this position is $108,891.20 to $122,502.60 annually.
