Job description

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting the F-35 JSF ALIS/ODIN program. The Systems Engineer is assigned to assist workstream/embedded teams to support a multi-disciplinary engineering team in the architecture, design, development, integration, production and sustainment of the software, and the development and analyses and system requirements. The Systems Engineer role is responsible for providing overall systems engineering technical aspects and may include oversight of additional workstream teams across the F-35 ALIS/ODIN program

The F-35 ALIS/ODIN Systems Engineer serves as the engineering authority and approval for the design of software capabilities from a systems standpoint.

Additionally, this position facilitates engineering implementation and architecture alignment across the workstream stakeholders and partners with the customer for alignment of scope, performance and status of implementation, and partners on the program roadmap. The successful candidate has experience across the spectrum of systems engineering activities. The primary focus in this position is requirements management relating to Maintenance System (MxS) and definition related tasking is anticipated to include:

  1. Performing Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Design
  2. Performing Risk Assessments,
  3. Leading Trade Studies,
  4. Management of Interfaces,
  5. Performing technical planning,
  6. Performing requirements verification and involvement in systems architecture development.
  7. broad knowledge and expertise in systems engineering is needed.
  8. Additionally, the candidate needs to be experienced in providing support in systems/subsystem integration and test while working closely with program management to assure complete program integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college.
  • Experience collaborating with internal/external customer
  • Experience in developing and executing technical plans / roadmaps
  • Experience working in a heavy collaboration environment *Experience applying SysML to Systems Engineering efforts and working with modern SysML tools. *Experience developing model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models that include development of Use Cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams. Desired Skills:
  • Solid communication skills including customer rapport
  • Experience in the systems engineering lifecycle, principles/practices/methodologies
  • Experience in Agile & DevSecOps
  • General technical leadership experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following tools/technologies: Cameo, Kubernetes, Ansible, LINUX, AI Workflows, Security +;
  • Experience in Atlassian tools; i.e. Confluence Bitbucket, Jira -Performance Analysis & Testing (System, OS, Network, Throughput) a plus Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
