Job description
Flow Studio is a visual product and brand, and how it shows up matters. We need a Senior Art Director / Designer who can define and execute a modern, distinctive visual language across everything we create.
This role is both conceptual and hands-on. You will design and art direct every touchpoint a customer has with Flow Studio, from first impression through ongoing engagement, ensuring a cohesive and compelling experience. Success in this role requires creative range, technical fluency, and a values-led mindset: optimism to imagine what's next, ingenuity to translate complex VFX and simulation workflows into clear storytelling, courage to push the work into new territory, relentless focus on quality, and a collaborative approach that builds trust across teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and art direct every touchpoint across the Flow Studio experience, from campaigns and social to product storytelling and digital experiences
- Lead art direction and design across campaigns, product marketing, and social content with a high bar for craft and clarity
- Develop and evolve a distinct visual system for Flow Studio that feels modern, scalable, and differentiated
- Create social-first content across formats and platforms, tailoring the work to how audiences engage
- Translate product capabilities, including VFX and simulation workflows, into clear and visually compelling creative outputs that build understanding and trust
- Create assets across a range of outputs, including motion, static, and digital experiences
- Partner closely with creative, marketing, and product teams to bring ideas to life, ensuring the work is grounded in real use cases and communicates meaningful value
- Collaborate with Technical Artists and VFX specialists to ensure outputs are both visually strong and technically credible
- Art direct content built from real product output, not abstract or purely conceptual visuals
- Build scalable design systems and templates that increase speed, consistency, and impact
- Experiment with AI-native tools and workflows to enhance creative output and team efficiency
- Maintain a high bar for craft while operating with urgency in a fast-moving environment
- Continuously push the work to feel modern, relevant, and differentiated within the VFX and creative tools space
- A rich and consistent body of work defines how Flow Studio shows up visually and stands out within the VFX and AI tools landscape
- The design feels modern, distinctive, and immediately recognizable, with a strong point of view
- The work is both visually compelling and credible to a technically informed audience, and it performs on social because it is built for the platform, not adapted to it
- Product storytelling is clear, confident, and grounded in real customer value rather than abstraction
- Systems and templates enable speed and consistency without compromising quality
- The work consistently raises the bar, reflects strong creative judgment, and builds trust across teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as an Art Director or Designer, ideally in software, SaaS, or SMB environments
- A strong portfolio showcasing art direction and design across brand, digital, and social
- Understanding of how VFX and simulation workflows translate into visual storytelling
- Ability to both concept and execute at a high level, moving fluidly from idea to final output
- Experience designing for social-first environments and content-driven brands
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, motion, and visual systems, with experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion design platforms
- Familiarity with working alongside Technical Artists or within 3D and VFX pipelines
- Curiosity and openness to using AI in creative workflows, with a willingness to experiment and learn
- Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-moving environment while staying organized and focused
- High creative standards, strong attention to detail, and sound design judgment
- A collaborative mindset with a bias toward action and a commitment to building strong partnerships across One Autodesk
