Job description
- Design, develop, enhance, and support LAMP stack applications (Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP) with a focus on stability, security, and performance.
- Build and maintain automated testing for PHP applications (unit, integration, regression), ensuring high reliability and release confidence using modern PHP frameworks and testing practices.
- Develop and maintain production-level Python scripts for automation, operational tooling, data utilities, and platform reliability tasks.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines, including approval gates, pipeline-as-code, and automation best practices
- Integrate security controls into delivery workflows (e.g., secure build practices, security scans, policy checks) to maintain compliance and reduce risk
- Own secrets management and related operational practices (secure storage, rotation, access controls, auditing) across environments; ensure "enterprise-grade" secret handling.
- Manage dependency and artifact hygiene (versioning, vulnerability scanning, license considerations, SBOM-aware practices where applicable) to maintain enterprise readiness.
- Implement and operate monitoring dashboards and alerting for application/platform health; partner with cross-functional teams to improve observability and reduce MTTR.
- Work on system scaling and architecture: performance tuning, horizontal/vertical scaling, caching strategies, HA/DR considerations, and capacity planning.
- Provide production support (triage, root cause analysis, incident response) and drive continuous improvements to stability and operational efficiency.
- Build and support Apache Solr implementations: indexing, schema/analysis configuration, query relevance, performance tuning, and operations (including clustered deployments where applicable).
Requirements
- Strong PHP testing experience (modern frameworks)
- Production level Python scripting
- Secure CI/CD pipelines
- Secrets & dependency management (enterprise grade)
- System scaling and architecture understanding
- Apache Solr hands on experience
