Job description

Contribute to consulting projects for energy, state, local, private and municipal

  • Support large scale geospatial data gathering, data management and data presentation projects spanning multiple years as part of a multi-disciplinary
  • Confirm technical accuracy of GIS and geospatial deliverables and associated
  • Coordinate with the project team, project managers, clients, local communities, and other contractors to compile all data necessary to produce the most up-to-date
  • Support report production prior to submittal to clients.

Requirements

Dewberry is seeking a GIS Professional in our Parsippany, NJ office. This position will support a wide array of geospatially-enabled efforts in the northeast for energy, commercial, state and private sectors. Candidates will have competencies and demonstrated experience with geospatial data management, map development of all kinds, and data queries.

Candidates will have strong skills and proficiency with tools such as ESRI ArcGIS technologies (including ArcGIS Pro, AGOL & field collection software).

This position will mostly focus on implementing advanced GIS techniques and processes to support production efforts in support of clients for our Parsippany, NJ office. This is an excellent career opportunity for an individual to join a team of professionals while working at a multidisciplinary consulting and engineering firm., Must have experience that demonstrates a strong background in the application of GIS, and skills to execute efficient solutions. The candidate should have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks, working independently and as part of a team.

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related
  • 2-5 years of experience in the GIS
  • Skills using Esri ArcGIS Pro X, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps/Survey 123.
  • Using GIS as an analytical tool during the environmental process.
  • Understanding of coordinate systems, projections and
  • Cartographic skills for both desktop and web-based
  • Ability to understand the big picture of a project and how that relates to the GIS tasks at
  • Desire to push the boundaries of GIS on projects, when
  • Enjoys challenging GIS
  • Exceptional visual, written and verbal communication
