Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a top telecommunications client. This individual will lead critical infrastructure initiatives focused on server provisioning and end-of-life replacements across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of Unix and Windows servers, experience managing both physical and virtual machine stand-ups, and the ability to validate and translate infrastructure requirements into executable project plans. This role partners closely with internal teams and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with evolving Agile practices.
Day-to-Day:
Lead infrastructure-focused projects including server replacements and new server stand-ups
Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from request intake through delivery
Partner with customers to understand environment needs (Dev, QA, Prod)
Review, validate, and challenge server specifications (storage, compute, etc.)
Coordinate with infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams
Track timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
Provide clear status reporting to stakeholders and leadership
Ensure projects align with enterprise standards and customer ecosystem requirements
Requirements
Senior-level Project Management experience
Strong background in infrastructure provisioning projects
Experience managing End-of-Life (EOL) server replacement initiatives
Hands-on experience with Unix and/or Windows server environments
Experience standing up physical and virtual servers
Ability to manage projects across Dev, QA, and Prod environments
Strong requirements validation skills (ability to review and challenge server specs)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills PMP Certification
Exposure to Agile methodologies (terminology and concepts)
Experience transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile
